Presentation Design
Salesforce (2022)
Joining Salesforce presented an opportunity I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I have — the ability to focus on a specific design craft. In my case, presentations. At Stericycle, I designed most presentations for the sales team either because I was the only designer or because other designers didn't like working on them, and I did. But, presentations were one of many mediums of design I worked on.
At Salesforce, I almost exclusively design presentations. From executive discussions, program overviews, and internal kickoffs — presentations became a niche. And, over my 4+ years with the company, I've created resources and enablement to help others more easily craft their presentations. I love designing presentations and hope to continue as I approach my career's mid-point.
Given that almost all of my internal-facing work is confidential, I can't showcase it here. So, below are layouts I designed with publicly available information about the company to give you a glimpse of the quality of work I produce.
Mirrim (2018)
As part of the Mirrim branding initiative, I led transitioning sales presentations from the Expert Solutions branding. A favorite aspect of this experience was developing a rich animation scheme for a critical section focused on essential considerations (for example, the Notification Management slide below). In addition, I led an enablement session with my fellow designers to walk through its creation — another personal highlight.
Stericycle Expert Solutions (2016)
As the sole designer on the marketing team, I owned the development and maintenance of our sales presentations. And as part of the Expert Solutions rebranding initiative, I got the opportunity to reimagine how we approached our presentations — visually and story flow. In addition to the core slides, we developed a series of customized sections based on the client's industry, relationship stage, and other factors. For example, the Recall Life Cycle was a personal favorite since the sales team considered it the primary story point (they could use this section alone for a single presentation). So, I enhanced it by adding individual slides for each part of the life cycle — helping the presentation flow and not feel static by staying on one slide.
